i'm fairly certain a lot of the coolness is in the f-stop, aperture, etc

I never really had a proper camera to play around and get familiar with those aspects of photography

haha, well you might have to be more specific about the qualities. especially "shiny". They're shiny when I have them printed glossy

Elegance is also a tricky word. Mostly elegance comes from the subject matter. (Recently my task was to discover the elegance in decay.. mmmm..decay)

The quality of the photos is straight up the camera. I use photoshop to make thing black+white (gradient mapping, not desaturate!)

but i'm working on a story (a creative assignment for class) and it's a doozie... at least i hope it is
